Our open-plan, communal forest kitchen and dining area is equipped with the essentials for cooking and can hold up to twenty people for meals and gatherings. We accommodate for self-catering retreats and also offer healthy plant-based catering for personal and group retreats.
The kitchen and dining area includes:
Fully equipped communal kitchen with gas stoves, a fridge, ample cupboard space, three dining tables, cooking utensils and cutlery.
Washing up and drying area with gas boiler.
Recycling and composting system.
Rain water system for drinking and washing water
Small herb garden within the kitchen area
Open-plan gathering space with view of surrounding gardens and forest
Chalkboards for daily quotes and updates
We are in the process of planning our next phase kitchen development which includes:
- A central wood burning fire system that is multi-functional and includes an oven, stove and dehydration facility.
- Cold room (sustainable, electricity-free) storage space for hygienic storage of fresh produce.
- A fermentation station for cultivating living probiotic foods such as kefir, kombucha, sauerkraut & kimchi.
- An Improved recycling and composting station and system
