Compost Toilets

By using a compost toilet system, we are saving water and generating nutrient rich compost for our trees.

By covering our deposit with sawdust, we create a nitrogen and carbon rich environment which decomposes after a year.

We encourage our guests to urinate in the forest and get in touch with their primal selves. Urine causes anaerobic conditions and a bad smell in a compost toilet which is counter-productive and unpleasant.

The end product, nutrient rich soil food is cycled back into the land. We use it for trees and general landscape restoration, keeping it away from vegetable production.
